MARJORIE EDITH MANNERS (nee ROBINSON) September 21, 1917 May 31, 2010 Surrounded by her children Mom was set free on the wings of angels into the loving arms of God for eternal rest and peace at the age of 92. Told to spread her wings and fly she did just like a butterfly. Mom passed away at her residence, River Park Gardens Personal Care Home. The family is extremely grateful for the dedicated care provided by the compassionate staff. Mom was predeceased by her husband Jack Manners, sons Kenny and Bobby Owens. She is survived by her son Dwight Manners, daughters Sandy (Vince) Loptson, Brenda (Reg) Bresch and Shari (Ren) Manners, sister Dorothy Thompson of Edmonton and brother Geordie (Loretta) Robinson. Mom will be deeply missed by 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Mom's focus was always on her family. She was born in Cartwright, MB, one of 11 children. She was a hardworking woman, from baking pies at Ernie's Cafe in Bissett, MB to flipping burgers and making Spanish at the family owned A W on Pembina Hwy. Mom adapted to the many challenges she encountered through her lifetime with strength and determination. Her strong will became the cornerstone of her family and was reflected in her everyday life. Silently and peacefully the angels took her home. We will honour her memory in our hearts. In accordance with Mom's wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, June 6 at 3:00 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, 1311 Dakota Street, officiated by Lynne Austen. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations can be made to Riverpark Gardens Personal Care Home in memory of our Mother Marjorie Manners.
