Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySAMUEL BORDMAN Peacefully, on Saturday May 29, 2010 Sam Bordman passed away at the Concordia Hospital at the age of 91 years. Sam was born on April 19, 1919, one of seven children of Sam and Anna Bodnaruk. In his early years, Sam enlisted in the Armed Services and trained in radio electronics. After leaving the services, he spent many years working out of a storefront in his house repairing radios and tube televisions. Sam was an adept mechanic and was often called upon by some of his siblings to help repair farm machinery and vehicles. In his later years Sam often spent days picking blueberries and mushrooms in the forest north of Stead, Manitoba. He also enjoyed gardening, playing cards and reading. He was especially intrigued by works of William Shakespeare. Sam was predeceased by his brothers Nick, Bill, Mike and John, sisters Mary and Helen. He is survived by his sister-in- law Eva Bodnaruk and numerous nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Dr. Robert Johnson of N1 at the Concordia Hospital. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the Wheeler Funeral Chapel, 211 Regent Avenue, West, Rev. Jeff Cook officiating. Interment to follow at Transcona Cemetery. If friends so desire donations may be made in Sam's name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or a charity of one's choice.
