Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANGELO MICHELE FALCETTA August 26, 1930 June 2, 2010 It is with great sadness the family announces the peaceful passing of Angelo Falcetta on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at the Concordia Hospital at the age of 79 years. Angelo was predeceased by his father, Donato and mother Luisa brother Antonio and sister Domenica all of Thunder Bay, Ontario. Angelo is survived by his wife of 59 years Antoinetta and his five children, 12 grand-children and three great-grandchildren, brother John, sisters Carmela, Elizabeth. Angelo was born August 26, 1930 in Santa Maria, de Molise, Italy where he lived until 19 years of age. He married his loving wife Antoinetta on December 6, 1951 and shortly after they moved to Canada to Fort William, Ontario, now Thunder Bay. Immediately upon his arrival, Angelo began working with the Canadian Pacific Railway and soon after he and his wife welcomed their first child Palma (Chris) followed by Dan, (Barb) Tony, (Karen) Maria (Cal) and John (Elaine). While building a life with his family, he also built his career and moved various times until finally settling in Winnipeg in 1985, holding the position of Roadmaster. He retired in 1990 after 38 years of dedicated work and in his retirement, Angelo was committed to spending time with his family, charity work and fund raising with the Knights of Columbus at Holy Rosary Church. Angelo encouraged his children and then his grandchildren to cultivate both ambition and a love for hard work as well as helping others and showing compassion. Mass of the Resurrection will be held at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Ave. on Monday June 7, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Viewing will be held at 10:30 a.m. Reverend Father Sam Argenziano presiding. Interment to follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, 4477 Main Street, West St. Paul. MB.
