Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHRISTOPHER ROBERT SOLYLO October 16, 1967 - June 1, 2010 It is with heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Christopher Robert Solylo. Chris leaves to mourn and to cherish the happy memories shared together, his loving wife of 20 years, Tracey who together raised their three young sons, Bretton, Cole and Ryland. Also left to mourn his loss and treasure his memory are his mother, Lynn (Don Newlin), his brother Brad Solylo (Tracy), his sisters, Melanie (Cordell), Lisa (Mark), Melissa (Jeff), mother-in-law Doreen, brothers-in-law, Jerrold (Michele), Steven (Veronica) and many nieces and nephews. Chris was predeceased by his father Robert in 1997. Chris was known as a big man with an even bigger heart. When his friends were in need, he was always there to compassionately care and help them through those difficult times. Chris treated all with respect, was a loyal friend and a caring father who loved to spend time with his boys, especially if it involved his favourite sport of hockey. Chris and his brother Brad worked together with their Dad, Robert (Bob) to build the family business of Westwind Brokers. After Bob's passing they continued the tradition of excellent service for many more years. At the time of such loss, the family relies on God's Word that describes our Creator, Jehovah at Luke 1:78 as a God of tender compassion . We long for the fulfillment of John 5:28, 29 that describes a time when God will call all those out of their memorial tombs to life on a paradise earth. The family wishes to express deep gratitude for the love and support provided during this difficult time. A private family service will be held on Monday June 7, 2010. Following a private family service, friends are invited to share their condolences with the family and share their memories of Chris on Monday June 7, 2010 at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Glen Eden Funeral Home 338-7111

Today, many years after the fact, my brother & I learned of our Seven Oaks Junior Raiders teammate (circa 1985-86) of his passing. I can recall his rookie year, and how he impressed the older guys with his hockey abilities, giving 100% all the time. Chris was a great teammate and respected by our team. Late condolences to his family. - Posted by: Lee McDonald (Junior Hockey Teammate ) on: Jul 01, 2022

It's been a while since Chris's passing but I think about him. I first remember meeting Chris at St. John's community centre behind Jerrold's house. He was about fifteen or so (would be in the early 1980's) and he came to play tennis with us. I'll never forget his big friendly smile and how much he enjoyed the game and our company. I later enjoyed his company playing hockey, golf, baseball and football. He liked competition as we all did but even more importantly, he loved people and love of neighbor is such a rare and Godly quality that Chris demonstrated so effortlessly. Revelation 21:3-4 is a sure hope. Ray Parsons - Posted by: Ray Parsons (freind ) on: Jan 31, 2018
