BRIAN CAVA It is with tears in our eyes and heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Brian on June 2, 2010 at the Brummitt-Feasby ALS House after a short but courageous battle with ALS. Remaining to cherish his memory are his loving wife Kathy (nee Locke) and his beloved daughter Kaitlyn, his dad and mom, John and Fran Cava, his mother Roberta Cava, brother Mike (Sue) sister Michele Goddard (Bret) sister Tanis Boyd (Thom). Brian will be lovingly remembered by the Locke family, Ian (Leah), Pat Fraser (Barrie), Leslie Gamey, Bob (Muriel), aunt Janet Fraser, aunt Joan Cava, cousins Connie Cava, Susan Cava-Salie (Colin), cousin Karen Fraser, cousins Wiley Jocelyn Hastie; many nieces, great- nieces and nephew. Brian was predeceased by his grandparents, Guiseppe and Naomi Cava, Bob and Mabel Hastie, uncles Raymond and Joseph Cava, and Jim Hastie. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to all the staff at the Brummitt-Feasby ALS House, ALS Society of MB, Dianna Rasmussen, Dr. Ondrej Pacin and Dr. Stefan Pacin, Coinamatic Canada Inc., Canadian Health Care Products, and Home Care Service and Palliative Care of MB. A special thank you to our good neighbour and friend, Rob Gillies, and to the children, staff and parents at Strathmillan School whom have, to date raised in excess of $800.00 in support of the ALS Society of MB. In lieu of flowers donations to the Brummitt-Feasby ALS House c/o ALS Society of MB 493 Madison St., Winnipeg, MB, R3J 1J2 in memory of Brian would be deeply appreciated or to a trust fund for Kaitlyn set up at TD Canada Trust, 3260 Portage Ave, Wpg, MB R3K 0Z1. Good night, sleep tight my Cava Cava until we meet again. A celebration of Brian's life will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. on Wednesday, June 9 at 2:00 p.m. with a reception to follow. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
