BRENDA KIRKHAM (nee MACDONALD) It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Brenda Kirkham at the age of 64 on June 1, 2010 at Seven Oaks Hospital. Brenda was predeceased by her parents, Lloyd and Gladys MacDonald, infant sister Donna, her first husband William Kirkham, in-laws David and Eugenie Kirkham, grandson Bailey Kirkham-Jeans, father in-law Albert Blowatt, brother in-law Norman Strand and sadly just on April 23, 2010 her sister Bonnie Miller. To cherish her memory, Brenda leaves her husband and best friend Rick, daughters Cathy (Walter) and Cindy, her sister Beth (Helge), five grandchildren Shawn, Brady, Taylor, Jessica and Autumn, one great-granddaughter Madison, mother in-law Fran, brothers in-law Don (Debbie), Gerry, Kevin, her nieces and nephews, and a host of family and friends. Through out her life, Brenda has worked at several places where she was fortunate enough to make life-long friendships. She worked a short time at Manitoba Medical, Gondola Pizza, Zagreb Restaurant, a grocery store in Garden City mall and then retired several years ago after 12 years with Sears and 17 years with the Garden City Customer Service. Brenda was a chartered member of the Seven Oaks Optimist since it's founding in 1991 and belonged to a Friday night bowling league with her husband and friends for many years. The family would like to take this opportunity to thank the doctors and nurses of the ER, ICU and fifth floor unit 3 at Seven Oaks Hospital for all they did and a special thank you goes to Dr. Fatoye and Dr. Christianson for the care they gave to Brenda. There will be a memorial service for Brenda at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. on Wednesday June 9 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation. • My deepest sympathy to Cathy & Cindy Kirkham. I’m also deeply sorry for the loss of your father Bill Kirkham. He was a really wonderful man, funny, loving and spoke of you often with much love. He is deeply missed by me and my family here in Las Vegas who loved him very much. Bill was very special friend, like a father I never had. I wish you much love, health and happiness.
