Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEVA ELIZABETH GLENHAM (nee BOATFIELD) Peacefully following a lengthy illness our Mom, Gramma and Great-Grandma passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at the age of 93 years at River Park Gardens. Eva is survived by and left to mourn her passing, children Lynne and Bill (Norma), grandchildren Linda (Rod), Shannon, Stacey (Steve), Jeff (Kelly), Shelley (Jeff), Todd (Charlene), Chad (Sarah), Jody and 23 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, William (1972), father William, mother Edith, sister Mabel, brothers Jack and David, infant sister Alice, son-in-law Edward and great-grandson Curtis. Eva was born in Lauder, MB, on January 20, 1917, moving to Winnipeg at an early age. She took her schooling in East Kildonan and Elmwood. Her first job was at North American Lumber where she met her future husband. They married in 1941 at St. Martin in the Field Anglican Church. They lived in Red Lake, Atikokan, Fort Frances and Keewatin, Ontario before returning to Manitoba, taking up residence in St. Vital in 1951 where she raised her family and resided for the remainder of her life. She returned to the workforce in 1956 at Canada Packers and in 1980 retired from The Canadian Wheat Board. A graveside service was held on Friday, June 4, 2010 at St. Vital Cemetery where interment has taken place. A very special thank you to the wonderful, caring staff of River Park Gardens who looked after our Mom so lovingly for the past 18 months. In lieu of flowers, donations in Eva's memory may be made to River Park Gardens at 735 St. Anne's Road, Winnipeg, MB R2N 0C4.
