He leaves to mourn his beloved wife of 38 years, Joan, his most precious gift from God his daughter Tannis and the apple of his eye his little grandson Eric. Roy also leaves his siblings, Jessie, Frank (Wilma), Ted (Pat), Ronnie (Betty), Keith (Sandra), Richard (Anna) and Ruth (Rob), as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Roy was predeceased by his twin daughters Cheryl and Cindy, his parents Sarah and Percy and sister Edith. Roy was born and raised in Belmont, MB and worked for numerous years on different farms around Belmont and area. He then moved to Winnipeg and worked for 32 years for Fort Garry School Division, where he made many friends. In 2003 Roy and Joan moved to Morinville, AB to be closer to Tannis and her family. There he worked for a few years for Extreme Modular before his illness. The outdoors was Roy's favourite place to be. He loved nature and was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed his trailer at the lake, his many fishing trips to Northern Manitoba and especially being with his best friend Jim at Brereton Lake. Roy will be forever missed by his family and friends. His smile will never fade in our memories. We love you Roy and say good-bye until we meet again in God's love and Kingdom. Funeral Services were held at the Morinville Baptist Church, on Friday, June 4, 2010 with Pastor Bill Wicks and Reverend Rob Wittmeier officiating. Cremation followed the service.
