MARGARET MARKS Peacefully, on Thursday, June 3, 2010 at the Gimli Betel Home Foundation, Margaret Marks, aged 83 years of Camp Morton, passed away with her family by her side. She is survived by her children, Marvin (Arlene), Andrew (Linda), Laura, Ruth (Richard), James (Charlotte), Ken (Marji) and Lisa (Andrew) who loved her very much. She will be missed by her grandchildren, Les (Kirsten), Stacy (Scott), Michelle (Les), Neil, Cory (Angie), Dylan, Marshal, Sheldon, Haley, Sydny; as well as great-grandchildren, Aaron, Sarah, Bryce, Rheanna and Norma. She is also survived by her sisters, Ann, Lucy, Magdalene; brothers, Tony and Edward. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband John Marks; parents, Mary and Adam Emerich; sisters, Mary and Kay; brother Joseph; as well as great-grandchild McKenzie Wiles. Margaret devoted her life to farming with her husband and children. She enjoyed retirement living on the farm and cooking for family get togethers, and visiting with friends. She moved to Gimli Betel in 2007. She loved playing cards, shuffle board, bingo and happy hour while she was there. The family wishes to thank the staff at Gimli Betel for their wonderful care and support. A celebration Mass will take place on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Benedicts Roman Catholic Church, Camp Morton, MB, with Fr. Ernest Kamath officiating. Lunch will follow in the St. Michael's Church Hall in Gimli, MB. Interment will be held in Camp Morton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if so desired, donations may be made to Betel Home Foundation, Gimli, MB or a charity of your choice.
