JACOB WIEBE On June 5, 2010, Jacob Wiebe passed away peacefully at St. Boniface General Hospital. Jake was born on May 13, 1927. Jake loved spending time with family and friends, particularly at his cottage in Minaki. Special thanks for the support of family and friends, for the palliative care he received at home, the Grace Hospital and St. Boniface General Hospital. Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • Every now and then I google people I have encountered in my life. Jake hired me to work at 2 of his service stations back in the 80s during my college years; Whytewold Gulf and Unicity Gulf. So this is years late of course, but sad to hear nonetheless. Of his family, I only met Reg, and his girlfriend at the time Ingrid. My much-belated condolences to all. Jake employed a lot of young kids, and I often get to tell people of my time and experiences working at his gas stations. I like to think of my time at Whytewold Gulf as my own personal "Corner Gas".
