JULIA FECYK (nee MICHALUK) It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Julia on June 7, 2010 at the Betel Home in Selkirk. Julie was predeceased by her husband Steve and her son-in-law Phil Boyer. Julie leaves behind daughter Dolores, grandchildren Stephen (Trish) Boyer and Lisa Boyer (Doug Allard), great-grandchildren Wil Boitson, Victoria and Iain Boyer and sister Sophie Boyko. Julie was born in Komarno, April 24, 1919. Steve and Julie married in 1943 and resided on Tremblay Street all their married life. Mom could cook, sew, garden, paint, anything she did, was done to excellence. Dad and Mom enjoyed their time at the cottage in Whytewold. Mom resided in her daughter's home for the past five years before going to the hospital and then to the home. Special thanks to all the caring people who looked after Mom at the Gimli Hospital and at the Betel Home. Following Julia's wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
