GEORGIANNA (GEORGIE) DANEAULT (nee DUCHARME) Peacefully on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at the Seven Oaks Hospital our Mom was welcomed into God's arms. We know she is now able to walk free of pain. She was predeceased by her husband, of 51 years, Marcel, siblings Marie Heather and Roger Ducharme. Mom is survived by her children Bob (Jane), Suzanne Du Gray, Bonnie (Raymond) Tetrault, Michelle (Ed) Stanton, sister Olive Fry, eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren. Mom was born the eldest of four siblings. She would often speak of double dating with Marie or taking her sister Olive along when dating our Dad. After marrying Dad, they lived in Red Lake, Ont. When Dad purchased the farm, many Christmas gatherings were hosted by Mom then New Year's was celebrated at Auntie Rita's. When moving into town, she began working at Friendly Family Farms. After Dad's passing, she moved to Steinbach where she, of course, quickly befriended anyone she met. Mom later moved to Lions Place in Winnipeg as this made it easier for doctors' appointments and visits from her children and grandchildren. She truly cherished these family visits. A memorial mass will be held Friday, June 11, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. at St. Joachim Roman Catholic Church, La Broquerie, MB. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canadian Diabetes. Arrangements by Birchwood Funeral Chapel 1-204-346-1030 or 1-888-454-1030

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • Family Chain We little knew that morning, God was going to call your name, In life we loved you dearly, In death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, You did not go alone. For part of us went with you The day God called you home. You left us beautiful memories, Your love is still our guide, And though we cannot see you, You are always at our side. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same, But as God calls us one by one, The chain will link again The Heathers - Posted by: Carolin Heather-Horbach (Family) on: Jun 09, 2010
