EFFIE MAY MINTY February 6, 1942 June 9, 2010 It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Effie May Minty on June 9, 2010. Effie's battle with cancer was lost despite successful surgery and attempts at medical and other available treatments. She succumbed to this aggressive form of cancer as it counteracted any efforts to hold off its progression. Effie was the second daughter of Russell and Olive Clarke of Roblin, Manitoba. She is survived by two sisters, Eileen and Phyllis. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother Mervin. After spending several years regular pioneering with her sister Eileen and friend Sylvia Cooper, she met Lloyd, the love of her life. And although through the years many things changed, her zeal for the ministry never diminished and they continued assisting many individuals and families to develop a knowledge and appreciation for Jehovah and the earth's future Kingdom government under Jesus Christ. Effie and Lloyd had three children - Jeremy, Merlyn, Angela, and two grandchildren, Lauren and Jack. Effie was born February 6, 1942 and passed away June 9, 2010 at the age of 68 years. The family wishes to thank the doctors and staff at Victoria Hospital as well as the home care workers. We also would like to thank all the friends who supported us through phone calls, emails, cards and personal visits. The memorial service will be held at the Assembly Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses located at 227 Lakewood Blvd. on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, you can if you wish contribute to the Worldwide Work of Jehovah's Witnesses at the Kingdom Hall in Southdale (the address is shown above).
