MARCELLA RUTHERFORD EAST (nee Prentice) November 6, 1921 - June 6, 2010 It is with deep regret that we announce the death of Marcella East after a brief illness on Sunday, June 6, 2010 at the age of 88 years. Remaining to forever cherish Marcella's memory are her five children, Marion (Jean), Valerie (Bill), Pat (Claude), Fred (Peggy) and Wayne (Kathy); six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Marcella was the first-born child of Marion and James Prentice of Winnipeg. She grew up in the West End and during her adult years resided in St. James. Mum was employed at a number of businesses most notably Eaton's and the Wagon Wheel Restaurant. A longtime Legion member, she also loved movies, music, singing, baseball, football and bowling. In compliance with Marcella's wishes a private memorial celebration of Marcella's life was held by her family. Many thanks to the 2nd floor staff of Oakview Place for their kindness to us and compassionate care of our mother.
