ROSE GRAYSON November 19, 1923 - June 9, 2010 Rose Grayson passed away peacefully in her home on the morning of June 9, 2010 at the age of 86 years. She was predeceased by her husband Dick in 1980; three brothers, Sonny, Leonard, and Jack; sisters, Bertha, Betty, Dolly and Mary; and her beloved dog Honey. Lovingly remembered by her sons, Richard (June), Robert (Elaine); daughter Janice Becker (Dennis); grandchildren, Rick (Kris), Lisa, Shelley (Bill), Clinton (Darlene), Derek (Heather) and Dan (Melody); 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Rose was born in London, England and that is where she met her husband Dick Grayson, a Canadian Soldier stationed in London during the Second World War. They were married in 1941. Rose immigrated to Canada with her two young sons in 1944 and eventually settled in Stonewall. In 1947 their daughter Janice was born, and they moved to a farm in Balmoral. A celebration of Rose's life will be held at Stonewall Anglican Church of the Ascension on Monday, June 14 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the Winnipeg Humane Society or a charity of one's choice.
