Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJAMES CARL (JACE) JOHNSON July 12, 1944 - May 27, 2010 Jim passed away after a long battle with cancer, with his family at his bedside in Phoenix, Arizona. He was predeceased by his mother Anne and father James. He is survived by his first wife Pat and their daughter Jody and her husband Albert Zavala and son Tyler and daughter Riley, all of whom he was extremely proud. Jim is also survived by his present wife Katy; kid brother Ken and wife Diane, of Winnipeg and their kids, Ashley and Scott. Jim had numerous cousins in both Canada and the U.S. Jim was a U.S. Marine and graduated Sargent First Class from Quantico, Virginia surviving boot camp in San Diego and the war in Vietnam. He always said boot camp was tougher and there's no such thing as an ex-marine . Jim was a successful sales person for Graybar Electric and Phoenix Electric for 20 years. After retiring from sales, he took a job as a custodian in an elementary school where he was able to see his daughter Jody who taught there and his grandchildren who attended every day. Jim was a wonderful son and big brother and a caring, kind individual who would give his last dime to someone if he thought they needed it more than he did.
