Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMICHAEL HOWARD BRESCH It is with great sadness that the family of Michael Howard Bresch announces his sudden passing, on Saturday June 12, 2010, at the age of 52 years. Michael will be lovingly remembered by his wife and best friend of 32 years, Brenda and his children, Andrew and Lauren. Michael will be fondly remembered by his mother Mary, his brother Geoff (Linda), his brother-in-law Ellery, his nieces, nephews and his extended family and dear friends. Michael was predeceased by his father George. Michael was born on June 7, 1958. Michael graduated from Elmwood High School. He then graduated with a diploma in Applied Arts from Red River College in the Computer / Analyst Programmer Program. Michael went on to work in the information technology field for Canada Safeway, Cargill Grain, and eventually with the City of Winnipeg where he worked in many different departments for the last 22 years. Michael's last position was corporate webmaster for the City of Winnipeg. Michael had many accomplishments in his working career, but one of his major accomplishments was the introduction of automated voting to the City. He was passionate in his service to the citizens of Winnipeg. Michael served on the board for the Provincial Employees Daycare as president and board member for 16 years. Michael devoted his life to his family. He was very proud of his children's accomplishments. He was always involved with all of his children's activities. He would be taking Lauren to all of her dance events and Andrew's music, acting and archery classes. Michael would arrange many Family trips from weekends in Grand Forks to AC/DC concerts in the United States. Michael loved to golf with his friends (Greg, Joe, and John) The Fearsome Foursome . Michael was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone who asked, no matter whoever or whenever they asked. Michael will be known for his smile and marvelous sense of humour. He loved to play practical jokes and made so many difficult days brighter, for so many people, for so many years. The family wishes to thank his dear friends Greg Braun, Joe Dicurzio, and John Norget who tended to Michael. Honorary pallbearears are: Donald Bresch, Gordon Grassler, Greg Braun, Joe Dicurzio, John Norget and Ellery Wilgosh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in memory of Michael on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Bernadette Roman Catholic Parish, 820 Cottonwood Road, Winnipeg, with Father Fred Olds presiding. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Mike to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Glen Lawn Funeral Home 982-7550
