BERYL DELURY Peacefully on Monday morning June 14, 2010, after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer, Beryl DeLury loving mother of Michele, Van (Tammy), Erin, Ryan (Jenny); grandchildren Jessica, Jordan, Kiana, Kiara, Kaitlyn, Austin, Braidyn, Quinn and Kelan; Beryl's siblings the Van Burens; Hugh, Carl, George, Brian (Kristine), JoAnn and many nieces, nephews, friends and work associates. Beryl was predeceased by her husband Neil DeLury in November 2007. Beryl was born September 20, 1935 in Winnipeg, MB. While working for Air Canada, she transferred to San Francisco where she met her husband Neil. They married in Winnipeg in 1967, and returned to San Francisco where their four children were born. In 1978 they moved back to Winnipeg so Beryl could be close to her family. Some of the best times were spent with Beryl and her family together at Brereton Lake, relaxing on the beach and swimming for hours at a time, staying up late playing cards and when the storms blew in, watching the lightning from the veranda light up the sky. Beryl has returned to the peaceful, relaxing state that being at the lake used to inspire. A strong, courageous woman, Beryl fought with grace and determination to beat her cancer, and for ten months she did. A Special thank you to the aides at St. Boniface: Louise, Remy, Savy and Roanne (from homecare). Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Arnajea, Dr. Lotocki, Dr. Heibert and the entire 3B nursing staff of the St. Boniface Hospital who took loving care of our mother during the last three weeks of her life's journey. Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Friday, June 18, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. from Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Ave. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the Mass. Reverend Father Sam Argenziano presiding. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
