EDNA LAMIRANDE (nee THIBERT) On June 14, 2010 at the Health Sciences Centre, Edna Lamirande, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother passed away at the age of 83 years. Edna leaves to mourn, her two daughters, Valida Lamirande and Joan Bacon of Winnipeg; grandchildren, Edna Sloan (Jim), Sean Lamirande (Mitch), Christine (Reuben) Coates, Mona (Steve) Gallop and numerous other grandchildren; great-grandchildren, Kayla Lamirande, Aaron Sloan and numerous others; great-great-grandchild Haylie Lamirande; sisters, Lillianne Samulaitis (Ernie); sister-in-law Joyce Thibert and numerous nieces, nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Jean Alexander Lamirande; son Robert Lamirande of Winnipeg; infant son Baby Wayne; brother Louie Thibert; sister Florence Charbonneau; sister Louise George. Edna was a caring and giving person. She helped and loved everyone she knew and met. Everyone who met her and knew her loved her. She will be missed but not forgotten by everyone. She loved and cherished her little Toot Toot Haylie Lamirande. Edna worked at Central Park Lodge for many years, where she retired. She loved camping. The family would like to thank the staff of GH4 Ward, especially Justin Legace and Fr. Taras Kowch. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, June 17 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, 250 Burrin Ave. Interment will follow in St. Vital Roman Catholic Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Edna's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Edna will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Edna, Kayla and Aaron. We love you forever and ever.
