Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANN BOUCHER (nee MCRAE) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Ann Martha Boucher on Saturday, June 12, 2010 while surrounded by her loving family. Mom is survived by her sons Don (Ann), Bob (Joanne), Len (Barb) and daughters Sharon Wellby (Art), Yvonne, Sandra May (Al) of Calgary, AB, 18 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Mom was predeceased by her husband Kelly, of 64 years, parents Sarah and George McRae, mother-in-law Cecile, grandson Douglas Bremner, sisters Theresa, Irene and brother John. Ann was born in McGregor, MB on March 28, 1920, received her education in Winnipeg and at an early age became a skilled seamstress. She loved designing and producing clothes for her family and took great pride in making clothes for her grandchildren. Over the years she had also outfitted many community teams with their club jackets and outerwear. At the height of the Cabbage Patch craze, she formed her own business to produce jackets for these dolls including Blue Bomber and Winnipeg Jets jackets. Mom's biggest joy in life was caring for her family. Her home was always open to anyone in need. As well as her immediate family, Mom cared for her parents, nieces, nephews and numerous foster children. Her devotion and heartfelt love for us all is what we will miss the most. Thank you to Home Care, in particular Christina, Dr. P. Kuegle and the staff of N1S and N1N at the Concordia Hospital for their care and compassion. In tears we saw you sinking, We watched you fade away, You suffered much in silence, You fought so hard to stay. You faced your task with courage, Your spirit did not bend, But still you kept on fighting, Until the very end. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 18, 2010 at the Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook St. with viewing prior to the service. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Dylan, Brooke and Art Wellby, Joe and Dan Boucher and David Bremner.
