Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFRANCOISE BOULET 1932 - 2010 Surrounded by her loving family, Françoise Boulet passed away peacefully on June 17, 2010. She was predeceased by her parents, Phillippe and Bernadette Boulet, and her brother Pierre Boulet. Françoise leaves to cherish her memory her children Dean Baltesson, and Rita O'Rourke, husband Mark O'Rourke; her much loved grandchildren Meghan and fiancé Chris, Krystan, and Sean. She also leaves her sisters, Gisele, Jackie, and Louise, her former husband Jerry, with John; and many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by her long-time friends, The Executive Club , Bessie Marie Hill, Mary T. Sheehan, Pat Traill, and the late Joyce Birch. Françoise was born February 5, 1932 in Dunrea, Manitoba. She graduated from Normal School in 1955 and taught one room schoolhouses before settling in Shilo, where she taught kindergarten and grade one for many years. Françoise loved little children and was born to teach, continuing to volunteer in classrooms after retirement. Following retirement, Françoise courageously moved to Quebec and achieved her long-desired goal of completing her BA in 1992. Françoise loved opera, travelling, reading, and getting together with her many friends. She also had a very special bond with her grandchildren. They spent many weekends with Gabby, hunting for dinosaur bones on the Plains of Abraham, playing Skip-bo, enjoying midnight ice cream by candlelight, reading countless stories, and wall-papering her apartment with crafts and drawings. Gabby chronicled these moments with countless photos up against the wall . Tragically, Alzheimer's Disease took her away from her family for her last few years. We wish to thank the staff at Foyer Valade Unité Marguerite who treated Françoise with dignity and respect. A funeral will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, June 21 at the St. Vital Parish, 1629 Pembina Hwy. Reception will follow, with private interment at a later date. Flowers are graciously declined. Donations can be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Society of Manitoba or to Foyer Valade, Unité Marguerite. We love you, Mom and Gabby DESJARDINS 233-4949 1-888-233-4949
