HILDEGARD CORY April 14, 1929 ~ June 18, 2010 Peacefully, on June 18, 2010, Hilde passed away at the Charleswood Care Centre. She was predeceased by her husband Albert; brother Heinz Kaufman; her parents, Elizabeth and John Kaufmann. Hilde will be remembered by her niece Noreen Arnett (John) with Sean (Jenn), Kim (Kevin); and nephew Rick (Bev) Kaufmann with Mel (Aaron), and Erika (Mitchell). She will also be sadly missed by her sister-in-law Madeline Kaufman, as well as many other extended family and friends. Hilde was born and grew up in Zichydorf, Yugoslovia. She immigrated to Canada in 1949 and soon after found employment at Western Glove until her retirement in the 80s. Hilde loved crafts, needlepoint, petty point, knitting and crocheting, were some of her interests. She had a great love for animals. She and Albert had a cottage at Winnipeg Beach for many years; it gave them many summers to remember. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., with an interment and reception to follow. The family would like to thank the staff at Charleswood Care Centre for the care and compassion shown to Hilde over the last three years. In lieu of flowers, donations in Hilde's name may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB R3T 0R3. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
