Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDONALD ROBERT STADTHER December 20, 1937 June 17, 2010 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father Donald Robert Stadther in the early morning of June 17, 2010 at the Seven Oaks Hospital with family at his side. Donald was 72 years of age and was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Anna; his siblings, Theo, Marge and Cecelia. Left to cherish his memory is his former wife Rosemary (Stadther) and children, Michael, Debbie (Bob), Dawn (John), Donald, Anna Nault (Dan), 14 grandchildren, seven great-grand-children, numerous nieces and nephews with special reference to Susan who had a special place in Dad's heart, also left to cherish his memory is special friend Shirley and her extended family. Donald was born and raised in Winnipeg, attended St. Joseph's School and married Rosemary Kuntz in 1958, they then went on to have five children. He was employed by the Winnipeg School Division for over 25 years before retirement. We will miss his passion for NFL football and his beloved New England Patriots. Dad had a sense of humour that will be missed by all who knew him and his spirit lives on in the lives he's touched. Dad enjoyed many trips throughout his years especially his trips to Rhode Island, he also enjoyed fishing and was awarded a Master Angler for which he was very proud of. The family would like to thank the staff at Seven Oaks Hospital for their kind and compassionate way that they took care of our father during his time of need. He always referred to his nurses as his guardian angels. Cremation has taken place and a private graveside service will be held on Tuesday at the Assumption Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. for his immediate family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dad's memory to the Cancer Society or a charity of your choice. Miss Me, But Let Me Go When I come to the end of the road And the sun has set for me I want no rites in a gloom filled room Why cry for a soul set free? Miss me a little but not too long And not with your head bowed low Remember the love that we once shared Miss me but let me go For this is a journey that we must all take And each must go alone It's all a part of the Master's plan A Step on the road to home When you are lonely, and sick of heart, Go to the friends we know And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds Miss me but let me go Chapel Lawn 885-9715
