JEANNETTE VELCICH (nee BRAIS) November 1, 1934 June 18, 2010 Jeannette passed away peacefully at the age of 75 years in Winnipeg. Jeannette will join her husband Antonio who predeceased her in 1989. She leaves to mourn her passing, her four children, Diane Velcich (Tawny), Anita Donaldson, Doris Goetz (Courtney) and Bruno Velcich; three grandchildren, Jason, Ryan and Pamela; and one great-grandson Nathaniel. She is also survived by three sisters, Georgette Houle, Fleur-Ange Scott (Richard) and François Goovaerts (George); three sisters-in-law, Ruth Brais, Helene Brais and Eva Brais; two brothers-in-law, Fernand Remillard (Solange) and Raymond Petit, as well as numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends. Jeannette worked as a LPN at Misericordia General Hospital, retiring in 1990. She enjoyed playing bingo and slot machines. Jeannette's family would like to thank the staff of the Grace Hospital, CancerCare and the 6th floor at St. Boniface Hospital. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home with interment to follow.
