MARGARET JOAN PREECE With broken hearts the family announces that our beautiful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother has left us to join her beloved Norman. She overcame a stroke only to find out she had endometrial cancer. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Laura (Glen); sons: David (Corrie), Jennifer, Joel Tessa; John (Diane), Shanna and Mandy. Margaret was predeceased by her father and mother William (Bill) and Hilda Winter, brother John Winter, and husband Norman. Margaret grew up in St. Boniface and worked summers in her Uncle George's bakery at Grand Beach, where she met the love of her life Norman. They married in 1953 and set up home in Transcona where they gave their three children a leave it to beaver childhood, with wonderful summers spent down at Grand Beach. Mom was a fabulous cook, her specialty was roast beef and Yorkshire pudding. Mom taught us to love and respect the earth and all her creatures long before it was the thing to do. A few of mom's favourite things: family, pets, birds in the birdbath, clean clothes blowing on the line, her fish pond, her cook shack, happy hour, fish and chips, a cup of tea, Christmas presents, and flowers. We will all miss her so very much. We love you pretty lady. Happy trails to you and dad up there in that great Grand Beach in the sky. Till we meet again. Service to be held Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Home. Flowers graciously declined. If so desired, donations can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3T 0R3 or the Wildlife Society.
