NINETTA GAETANA CALIGIURI It is with unhappy hearts that the family announce the passing of Ninetta Gaetana Caligiuri (nee Masi), at the age of 61. With family by her side Nina departed this world after a long struggle with cancer, defying initial prognosis and bringing three more years of joy to those around her. A caring and wise mother, grandmother, aunt, daughter, niece, sister and friend, she will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Born October 1, 1948 in Amato, Italy, she came to Canada at a young age with her loving family. She fulfilled the dream of becoming a teacher, mother and business-woman proving an inspiration to all around her. She leaves behind her devoted husband Frank, children Sandi (Mark), Michael, Chris (Elena) and Jennifer (Jeff) along with grandchildren John, Caterina, Julia, Isabella and Nia; her mother and father John and Assunta Masi; her brothers and sister Ralph (Debbie) Masi, Tony (Teresa) Masi and Mary (Tom) Scerbo; her mother-in-law Angelina Caligiuri, brothers-in-law Domenic (Teresa) Caligiuri and Ralph (Josie) Caligiuri, all her nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, numerous cousins and close friends. Always dedicated to her family she worked tirelessly to ensure their success while at the same time providing love and happiness to all around her. Her smiling face and caring spirit were apparent to all, from those who met her through the family business F.C. Machinery Ltd. where she worked side-by-side with husband and son, to friends and neighbours. Nina always relied on her faith as a guide through life's challenges. The family wishes to thank Dr. Pat Harris and the staff at Concordia Hospital, and the staff at Health Sciences Centre Rehabilitation RR6. While we mourn the loss of her great spirit we shall always remember her love of life, the joy she spread to all those around her and above all the happiness her grandchildren brought her. You will be missed forever but not forgotten.
