Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDENIS THOMAS LAFRENIERE It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Denis Lafrenière on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at his residence. He was predeceased by his brother Michael in 1998. Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Gilbert and Evelyne (nee Rheault), his brother Richard (Karen Knight), sister-in-law Lorraine, niece and nephews Lynette (Greg) Buchanan, Daniel (Alexandra), Lee, and Kyle, his great-nephew Alasdair Buchanan as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Denis was born on December 12, 1956 and was raised in Somerset, Manitoba. He loved the outdoors while fishing and golfing, playing cards with the family, music, baking and telling good stories. A sales rep for over 20 years, Denis took great pride in working for Star Lumber where he made many friends helping out with all sorts of projects. Cremation has taken place. Funeral mass will be celebrated by M. l'abbé Marcel Carrière at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 3 in the Notre-Dame-de-la-Nativité Roman Catholic Church in Somerset, Manitoba. A private interment will take place in Somerset. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Denis' memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6 or to the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
