Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMYRTLE OWEN MALCOLMSON (GRIFFITH) On June 25th, 2010 Myrtle passed away peacefully at Carman Memorial Hospital, 28 days before her 90th birthday. She was predeceased by Ted Owen (1975) and Harry Malcolmson (2002). She was much loved and will be missed by Brian (Val), Jane, Jan (Dave), Jocelyn, Don (Elaine), Colleen (Reid), Pat (Dale) and their children Kelly, Todd (Marnie), Andy, Tim (Alison), Heather (Bill), Kristi, Josh, Kendra (Mark), Rachael (Caleb), Samantha, Karen, Ted, Jack, Brett, and Mark and great-grandchildren Cam, Julia, Zach, Tessa, Solange and Naomi. She will also be remembered by sisters-in-law Muriel Doerksen and Susan Griffith, many nieces and nephews and the entire Malcolmson family as well as many friends and neighbours. Mom was born and raised in the Roseisle district, the youngest daughter of the Griffith family and survived her five siblings. She and Dad were married in 1942 and farmed at Graysville for 30 years. Mom was an active member of the community and involved in many organizations. After Ted's passing in 1975 she remained on the farm until 1981 when she married Harry and moved to Carman. They participated in social activities and enjoyed travelling with friends. Mom's greatest joy and source of pride was her large family and she gave unconditional support to all. She will always be in our thoughts. Thank you to all the staff at Boundary Trails Medical ward and at Carman Hospital for their wonderful and compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Carman Hospital Auxiliary, Carman Palliative Care or Carman Minor Hockey. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 30 at the Carman United Church. Doyle's Funeral Home in care of arrangements. (www.doylesfuneralchapel.com)
