BARRY WILLIAM CRAWFORD Barry William Crawford, 65, The Points West Bay, passed away peacefully at his home on July 3, 2010, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born August 11, 1944, in Port Elgin, ON, he was the son of the late William George and Gladys Helen (Thede) Crawford. He was Past President of the Winnipeg Division of the R.C.M.P. and a member of the R.C.M.P. Veteran's Association, Winnipeg. He was an avid golf, baseball, and hockey player. Barry was also a dedicated member of many charitable organizations, and his voluntary work at the Canadian International School of Egypt was greatly appreciated. Barry is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Mary Linda (nee Poirier); daughter Nicole Yvette Sáenz (nee Crawford) husband Juan Manue Sáenz Londono, Ottawa, ON; son, Brent William Ernest Crawford wife Megan Euphemia (nee Brophy), Edmonton, AB; grandchildren, Oliver Barry Thomas Crawford and Gabriel Ernest Sáenz; sister, Janice Lynn Collard (nee Crawford), husband Frederick Allan Collard, Paisley, ON; sister-in-law Marlene Clarke, Regina, SK; mother-in-law, Edna Poirier, Louisdale. Barry was predeceased by his brother Gerald George Crawford; father-in-law Ernest Poirier. Visitation will be held Friday from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. in Glen Sampson Room, Louisdale. A service of Remembrance will be held in St. Louis Church in Louisdale on Saturday, July 10, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Angus MacDougall officiating assisted by Rev. Wayne Yorke DLM, and Rev. Lloyd Murdock. Burial will follow in St. Louis Parish Cemetery, Louisdale. A reception will follow the burial in the Lake Point Lodge and Cottages at 4836 The Points West Bay. Memorial donations can be made to Palliative Care. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home Ltd., Arichat.
