ANNA MARIA CHONGVA Ann Chongva (known to many as Mary) passed away on July 2, 2010 in Abbotsford, BC. Born on November 18, 1940 in Elm Grove, Manitoba, Ann spent her life between Manitoba and British Columbia. Ann is survived by her son, David Long, brothers Lado (Liz) and Frank (Clara), sister Val (Dwight) and brother-in-law Bill (Diane) as well as by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, Margita and Andrew Chongva, and sister Margaret Heather. Ann will also be missed by Chica, a special four-legged friend. Special thanks to the health care professionals in the Tertiary Hospice Palliative Care Unit of the Abbotsford Regional Hospital Cancer Centre for their excellent care as well as to Ray and Pat Cheah, Chilliwack River RV Campground, for their friendship and support. A service to celebrate Ann's life will be held at Seasons Funeral Chapel, 576 Balsam Crescent (corner of Balsam and Cedar Avenue), Oakbank, Manitoba on Friday, July 9, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
