JOHN HENRY (JOCK) HENDERSON Born January 5, 1914; died July 5, 2010 at Rosewood Lodge. Jock will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 65 years, Joan; and children Jim (Liz) and Nancy (Jim); grandchildren Keri (Glen) and Pam (Greg); and great-grandchildren Jaeden, Galen, Abigail and Evan; plus many other family members and friends. Jock was born in the Rockwood Municipality where he lived all his life. He took an active part in community affairs including The Argyle United Church, a life member at the Argyle Curling Club, a 4-H leader, secretary of the Stonewall Fat Stock Show, a member of the Rockwood Agricultural Society and South Interlake 55 Plus. Jock farmed for many years in the Argyle area and retired from the Manitoba Government Crop Insurance Program in 1978, after 16 and a half years of service. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 10 at 11:00 a.m. at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall. All family friends will be considered honourary pallbearers. Memorial donations may be made to the Stonewall United Church, Stonewall Rosewood Lodge or a charity of one's choice. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
