JEAN KATHLEEN SIFERT (SHEPHERD) May 26, 1920 - July 9, 2010 Jean passed away peacefully at St. Boniface Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She leaves her six children, Susan (Lloyd), Brenda (Jim), Vernon (Earla), Elizabeth (David), Keith (Lori), Heather (Carl), sister Rita, 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Jean was predeceased by her mother and father, husband Fred, brothers Peter and Philip, and sister Ruby. Jean was born in Chapel, Essex, England. She was in the Land Army in England for three years from 1942 to 1945. She came to Canada as a war bride in 1946 where they together raised their six children. Jean dedicated her life to her family. She was the focal point and heart of the family. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly. We will all remember and cherish her determination, humor and charm that she held to her last day. A private family service has taken place. My children, the time for me is truly past I have loved you all to the very last Weep not for me, but courage take And love one another for my sake. AFTERGLO I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one, I'd like to leave an after glow of smile When life is done. I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways, Of happy times and laughing times and bright sunny days.
