PHYLLIS HAZEL SWANSON (nee MCDONALD) On July 12, 2010 at approximately 10:00 a.m., Phyllis Swanson, aged 77 years, passed away peacefully at her home. She leaves to cherish her memory, John her husband of 52 years, children Laverne (Hugh), Bobbi, Wanda, Doug, Tracey (Wally); grand-children Rachelle, Melanie, Tamara (Kyle), Morgan, Erin (Tyler), Sara, and Brandi; greatgrandson, Dexter; sisters Myrtle, Thelma, Arlene, and Darlene (Ken); brothers Jim (Darlene), Henry (Sharon) and Don. Phyllis was predeceased by her parents Clifford and Nellie McDonald; brothers Bill, Victor and Stanley; in-laws Mindy and Alice Swanson and brother-in-laws Marino (Arlene) and Bud Swanson. The family would like to thank Dr. Lipschitz of Health Sciences Centre, Dr. Maxwell and Anne at Victoria General, Drs. Lindenschmidt and Demsas, Melanie and Debbie at Selkirk General and Candyce from Palliative Care. John would also like to thank his children for all their love, care and support in helping to fulfill their mother's wishes. We love you mom! You will forever be in our hearts. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, July 15 at 10:30 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, 309 Eveline St., Selkirk, MB. Luncheon to follow at the Selkirk Legion. The family kindly requests in lieu of flowers a donation to CancerCare or a charity of your choice. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
