DOREEN LILLIAN MCGREGOR We are saddened to announce the sudden passing of Doreen Lillian McGregor (nee Mulholland) on July 9, 2010 at the age of 79. Doreen leaves to mourn, her beloved husband of 58 years Keith, children Bruce (Trudy), Maureen (Warren), Doug (Karen) Scott and her four grandchildren Kate, Lauren, Cameron and Ellen, step-mom Flora Mulholland, in-laws Betty and Laurie McGregor, many cousins, nieces, nephews and so so so many friends. She was predeceased by her parents James and Florence Mulholland, her brother Jerry and her in-laws Lorne and Edith McGregor Doreen was born in Winnipeg on August 17, 1930, and lived most of her life here, with brief stops in Calgary and Ottawa. From school she began her working career at Great West Life then, moved on to her full time job of being a loving wife and devoted mother. She loved her family above all else and was the keeper of her family archives. She took great delight in the activities of her children, grandchildren, relatives and friends and always had the latest picture of them on her fridge. In her free time she enjoyed a good game of bridge and was an expert player. Doreen was a life-long member of the United Church, actively participating in both Rosedale and Fort Garry United congregations, as a member of the choir, the UCW and the IODE. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Doreen I love you; Mom you will always be in our hearts and thoughts; and as the grandchild said, this one's for the wonderful woman who made me take swimming lessons, took me to the zoo and sent me kilts at Christmas . As per her wishes a cremation and interment has already taken place. Please join us for a Celebration of her life on September 17, 2010 at 1.30 p.m. at Fort Garry United Church, a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, it is asked that a donation be made in Doreen's name to The Fort Garry United Church, 800 Point Road Winnipeg, MB.
