ADELAIDE J. ERICKSON (nee BERARD) It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Ada at the Charleswood Care Centre on Wednesday, July 14, 2010. Her dearest friends Marcel and Sylvia Lafond were by her side. Ada was predeceased by her husband Jack in 1978 as well as sisters Sally, Nan and Gerry. She is survived by her brother Fred and wife Bernice, sister Sandra and many nieces and nephews. Ada will be especially missed by her special friends Marcel and Sylvia and Josie. Ada was born in Fort Garry and lived most of her life in River Heights. She worked for the Federal Government Finance Department for over 35 years. Ada and Jack enjoyed many fun filled trips to Las Vegas. She had many friends in her lifetime and enjoyed entertaining. Ada was a kind and gentle soul who loved people and sports and playing cards. A very special thanks is extended to the staff at the Charleswood Care Centre for their kind and compassionate care over the past four years. Cremation has taken place and in accordance with Ada's wishes there will be no service. She will be laid to rest with her husband Jack at Elmwood Cemetery.
