OLIVE LOUISE MENSFORTH (nee DOW) On Monday, July 12, 2010, Ollie Mensforth passed away at the River East Personal Care Home. Ollie is survived by her husband Don Mensforth; sons Bob (Alice), Craig (Sheila); grandchildren Joshua (Megan), Adrian, Grace, Ally, Cam and Evan; siblings Beth, Irene and Dick (Fern). Ollie was born December 3, 1928, in Portage La Prairie, MB. She lived in Edrans and Alexander, MB through her childhood. She moved to Winnipeg to take secretarial training at Success Business College. After graduation she stayed in Winnipeg working for Montreal Trust. Ollie and Don were married in 1955 and prepared to start their family. After raising her family Ollie turned to her love of petit point, creating many beautiful pictures and joining the Manitoba Craft Guild where she volunteered her time. The family would like to thank the staff at River East Personal Care Home for all their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ollie's honour to the Alzheimer's Society of Manitoba, Unit 10-120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2. www. Alzheimer.mb.ca.
