She is survived by her husband Martin, Cloverdale, BC, son Daniel, North Battleford, SK, mother Mary Andrusco, Fort Frances, ON, brother Peter Andrusco (Michelle), Dryden, ON, sisters Ruth Tupper (David), Owen Sound, ON, and Marina Gray (Cameron), Winnipeg, MB, nephews Michael (Agnieszka), John, Andrew, Nicholas and niece Elizabeth. Nikki was predeceased by her father Nicholas Andrusco, who died on November 15, 2009. She was born in Fort Frances and completed her high school education there. She attended the University of Manitoba, obtaining a degree in Business and Education leading to a successful career as a teacher, beginning in Winnipeg at Springfield Collegiate and later in Calgary and Vancouver, where she was on the staff at John Oliver and Lord Byng High Schools, until her retirement in 2005. Throughout her life, she was an avid reader, participating in a number of book clubs and enjoyed attending theatre and other performing arts productions. Nikki loved to entertain, extending her warm and hospitable nature to many at the family home in Tsawwassen, where we lived for many years, before moving to Cloverdale. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 23, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at St. David's Anglican Church, 1115 51A Street, Tsawwassen, BC with reception to follow, for a well respected and much loved individual who was renowned for her caring and kindness to all of her friends, associates and students. The family wishes to acknowledge Dr. Lee-Ann Martin, the Clinical Trials and other staff of the British Columbia Cancer Agency, the Doctors and Nurses of Oncology Ward N51 at Surrey Memorial Hospital and the Irene Thomas Delta Hospice, for their compassionate and sympathetic care throughout Nikki's illness, as well as our many friends who have been so supportive to us at this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the British Columbia Cancer Foundation and/or Delta Hospice Society in Nikki's name. Delta Funeral Home (604) 946-6040
