NANCY KAE (BOYSE/LEAMAN) DRUMMOND November 16, 1944 - July 8, 2010 After a courageous battle for her life, Nancy passed away peacefully at St. Boniface Hospital on July 8 at the age of 65 with her loving family by her bedside. She was predeceased by her husband Donald W. Leaman (September 30, 2002). Nancy was born in London, Ontario, to the late Charles M. Boyse (1974) and Bertha M. Boyse. She spent her early years growing up, going to school and church, in Crampton, Ontario, where she married the love of her life - Don Leaman. They raised their three children Deborah, Wendy, and Richard Leaman on a dairy farm until they sold it and resided in Ingersoll, ON, for a short period of time before moving to Winnipeg, MB, in 1981. Nancy worked as a Health Care Aide at Golden Links Lodge (GLL) for 23 years. After retirement, she continued to care for the elderly on a private/part time basis. Nancy had many friends, loved music, shopping, dining out, cooking, and spending time with her family. Nancy recently found happiness in the company of Robert G. Drummond, whom she married on November 28, 2009. Unfortunately, time did not allow them to fulfill their hopes and dreams for their remaining years together. A deep gratitude is extended to all the nursing staff at St. Boniface Hospital on 7AWest for their tender care towards our beloved Nancy, a huge thanks to Rev. Bob Davis for all his support throughout her last days, to family friend Jim M. Simpson, and to the GLL retirees and friends who donated their time for her Celebration of Life which took place July 13 at United Church in Meadowood. Another service will be held in Dorchester, ON. this fall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the St. Boniface Hospital. Nancy was dearly loved by her family and friends; she will be sadly missed but forever remembered in our hearts.
