Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROSE KACHULAK May 25, 1921 - July 15, 2010 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Rose. Leaving to cherish her memory are sons, Ken and Rod (Regina), grandchildren Kerrilynne (Warren), Kevin (Kellie) and Kimberly (Aaron) of Edmonton and Colleen (Paul) and Lisa (Mike) of Winnipeg. Rose also leaves nine great-grandchildren and nephews in the United States. Rose was predeceased by husband Walter (1990), daughter-in-law Marilyn (2009) and her parents, brother and sisters. Rose was born in the Interlake and grew up in Point Douglas. After the 1950 flood, she and her young family moved to Riverview where she spent her younger years raising her family on Churchill Drive. Rose devoted many years to volunteering within the community at the Municipal Hospitals as a member of The Guild. It was there and within the Riverview Community that she made many lasting friendships. Rose and Walter had a large warm circle of friends with whom they spent wonderful times together; many of their friendships spanned from their childhood. Rose always said they were so fortunate to have true friends in their lives. Rose worked at Eatons, Polo Park, for many years. This was not just a job to Rose, but an opportunity to help her customers enhance their sense of fashion. Rose had an impeccable sense of style and always took great pride in her appearance. Many fond summers were spent at Camp Rusalka watching her grandchildren and enjoying the company of all the campers. Rose was an avid reader, enjoyed bowling and in her later years, looked forward to socializing and playing Bridge. She loved Bridge! Thank you to the caring staff of Rosewood (Kenwood House) and Middlechurch Home (S2). Your caring attention to Rose was always appreciated. Special thanks to Olga for devoting so much time, love and energy to Rose. If friends so desire, a donation can be made to The Arthritis Society, Ste. 105 - 386 Broadway Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3C 3R6. Flowers gratefully declined. Rosie is at peace now - free from pain and suffering. Always remembered. Vichnaya Pamyat. Memorial Service to be held on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street. Reception to follow. Glen Eden Funeral Home 338-7111
