JOHN BILDFELL MCRAE (Founder and Manager of the Ottawa branch of Professional Investments) Peacefully surrounded by family on July 16, 2010 at the age of 81. Beloved husband of Jonina (nee Peterson) for 52 years. Loving father of Michael John (Susan) and Karen Jonina McRae. Cherished grandfather of James, Andrea, Scott, Séan and Mackenzie. Dear brother of Sylvia (Don) Mottola. Also survived by his nephews John (Andrea), Bob and Jeff Mottola. John had a long and distinguished career in financial services in Winnipeg, Montreal and Ottawa. His life was dedicated to his family, friends and clients, who could always count on him when needed. He had a tremendous interest in people and sought out and celebrated what was special in every person that he met. His optimistic and positive attitude, generous heart and friendly manner will be sorely missed by all. Friends may call at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road (between Baseline and Bayshore Dr), Ottawa on Thursday, July 22 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday, July 23 at 1:30 p.m. In Lieu of flowers, donations to the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) would be appreciated.
