DELINA EVA GERVAIS (nee LAVOIE) Delina Gervais passed away on Friday, July 16, 2010 at the Health Sciences Centre, with family at her side, at the age of 89. She is survived by her loving children Paul (Lorraine) of Winnipeg, Germaine Herie of Thalberg, Della Vincent (Norman Meilleur) of Winnipeg, Armand (Marianne) of Powerview, Lea (Don Pochinko) of Escondido and Helene (Robert Morgan) of Winnipeg. She also leaves her sisters Virginie St. Croix, Jeannette Trudel Hawranik, Denise Bowman and brother Emil (Patricia) Lavoie. She leaves 18 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and also numerous nieces and nephews. Delina was predeceased by her husband Leopold Gervais in 2000, her parents Robert and Florence Lavoie, brothers Raoul, Albert, Joseph, Raymond,and Henri Lavoie, son-in-law Joseph Herie, and grandson Gerald Vincent. Delina was born in Lac du Bonnet, MB on December 27, 1920. She was a member of the Powerview Silver Haven Club. After living in Powerview for most of her life, she moved to St. George Chateauguay in August 2008. She will be remembered as a loving, kind person who made sure that everyone else was taken care of before herself. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Notre Dame du Laus Catholic Church, Powerview, MB, with Rev. Fr. James Gray presiding.
