KENNETH GEORGE LAILEY, P.ENG. April, 1938 July, 2010 It is with deep sadness in our hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Kenneth George Lailey late Friday evening, July 16, 2010. He fought a courageous battle against cancer for four years, ultimately losing. Ken is survived by his wife Hanna; his son, Jeffrey (Laureen) and his two grandsons, Branden and Cameron; Auntie Mae, Auntie Jean, numerous cousins, nephews and nieces; and, his brother Jimmy (Kathy) of Seattle, and their children and families; as well as many friends and acquaintances. Ken was a successful Mechanical Engineer, in the employ of CML Northern Blower for over 40 years his passion was golf at Elmhurst Golf and Country Club and his peace of mind and relaxation was at the cottage. Ken was a kind soul who treasured his family above all, but, at the same time, always had a helping hand for those who needed it. We will miss his gentle and loving smile. We would like to thank Dr. Maxwell, Dr. Ogaranko, and the caring nursing staff at the Victoria Hospital, as well as Dr. St. Godard, Dr. Prewal and their caring nursing staff, Palliative Unit, St. Boniface Hospital. Their devotion to their profession in caring for their patients in a most compassionate manner was very much appreciated. Cremation has taken place interment and a family celebration of Ken's life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ken's memory can be made to your favourite charity.
