She is survived by her son Murray (Erin) and sister Ina Call (Peter). Madge was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Don (1997), her sister Jessie Busch and brother Don Murray. Mom was born in Winnipeg to Alexander and Mary Murray and spent her childhood living on Poplar Avenue in Elmwood. She married Dad in 1943 and worked at Eaton's mail order and The Royal Bank before moving on to her full time career as a loving wife and devoted mother. In 1950 Mom and Dad moved to Fort Garry where they made many friends and lived for the rest of their lives. Mom was an avid and competitive curler, first at the Pembina, and then for many years at the Wildewood Club. She was proud to have been a member of the Val Taylor team, which in 1972 was the first team in history to go undefeated in the Manitoba Ladies Curling Bonspiel, winning the Grand Aggregate trophy as well as both major events, Hudson's Bay and Lady Eaton. Mom was also a member of Eastern Star for many years, holding numerous office positions in the organization. Mom and Dad enjoyed travelling, especially to their favourite winter spot, Hawaii as well as several trips to Europe and Alaska. In later years Mom enjoyed trips to California to visit with her sister, Ina. We would like to thank the staff at We Care, and especially Darlene and Michelle who were very important to Mom in her last months. Also, a thank you to all the staff on 5 South at Victoria General Hospital for all your care and compassion during the final weeks of Mom's life. At Madge's request, cremation has taken place and no funeral service will be held. We miss you Mom and love you. THOMSON IN THE PARK 925-1120 Condolences may be sent to www.thomsoninthepark.com
