Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY JANE LILLIAN NOWOSAD (nee POITRA) Suddenly on Friday, July 16, 2010, Lillian Nowosad, aged 92 years passed away at Carman Memorial Hospital, Carman, MB. Lillian is survived by Laura Jean Livingston, Marilyn McKnight, Faith Anderson (James), Phyllis Nowosad and Blair Nowosad. Lillian is survived by nine grandchildren and eight great- grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters and one brother. She was predeceased by her parents Joseph George and Marie Adele Poitra (nee Henault), daughter Carol Zorisky, son Joseph Nowosad, granddaughter Janice Anderson, Joseph Zorisky and Phillip Nowosad. Lillian was born on December 5, 1917 in the District of Boggy Creek. Lillian went to Grand Prairie School. Following her marriage to Joseph Zorisky, they lived on a farm outside of Grandview. Briefly she moved into the town of Grandview with her four young children and soon moved to Roblin where she met and married Phillip. In 1958 Lillian, Phillip and family moved to Winnipeg and sometime in the 1980s Lillian moved to Carman, MB and lived there until the time of her death. She also spent winter months in Belcourt, ND. Sincere appreciation is expressed to Dr. Youssef and the nursing staff of Carman Memorial Hospital for their gentle care seeing to the needs of our Mother during her stay. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, July 26, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Ste. Claire Roman Catholic Church, San Clara, MB with Fr. Jose Cabral officiating. Viewing for the public will be held at 10:30 a.m. on July 26, 2010 at the church. Honourary Pallbearers are her grandsons, David, Danny, Raymond, Teddy, Jason, Jeremy and Jared. Following interment at Ste. Claire Parish Cemetery, a reception for family and friends will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations, in memory of Lillian Nowosad may be made to either San Clara Métis Centre or Ste. Claire Roman Catholic Church.
