NEIL JOHN MACDONALD On Tuesday, July 20, 2010, Neil passed away at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 51 years. Neil is survived by his mother Janet MacDonald; brother Ian; sister Cathy (Brett MacKinnon); nephews Chris and Derek; long time girlfriend Sylvia LeNouail; Uncle Fr. Winston Rye S.J.; Aunt Marie MacDonald; cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his father Gerry in 1986. Neil was born in Winnipeg on September 30, 1958. He was a fun-loving guy who worked for many years as a lighting technician and a stage hand. He enjoyed his chill time at the family cottage at Grand Marais, listening to music, watching sports, his favourite TV shows and being our Joe handy-man . Neil also enjoyed the time spent with Sylvia at her family's farm - especially talking to the cows . A private family Graveside Service will be held in Assumption Roman Catholic Cemetery, 3990 Portage Avenue with Rev. Fr. Mark Tarrant, presider. In lieu of flowers, donations in Neil's memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 200 - 310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6.
