PAUL THEODORE GREEN, M.D., FRCPS Our father was born on March 3, 1915 in New Britain, CT, USA, and died on July 18, 2010 at the Deer Lodge Centre, following a brief illness. He was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Rose Greenberg, his sister Lucille Cohen, and his loving wife Bert (May 24, 2002). He is survived by his three children, Jennifer (Peter), Catherine and Michael, his 10 grandchildren, Whitney, Paul, Dean, Jamie (Alison), Noah, Sacha, Eli (Milena), Catherine, Tammis, Gillian, and his almost six great-grandchildren. Paul graduated in medicine from the University of Toronto in 1940 and interned in both Toronto and New York City before joining the R.C.A.F. in 1941. He served in both England and North Africa and upon his return to Canada, was assigned to the Deer Lodge Hospital. Here he set up the paraplegic program along with working in the lab. As well, he was one of nine original doctors forming the Mall Medical Group. Dad was also head of the biochemistry lab at St. Boniface and worked the Misericordia Hospital's lab. He was assistant professor of medicine at the University of Manitoba. Dad has been the author of many papers and articles as well as trying his hand as a musician and an artist. We are most grateful to the staff at 4S at St. Boniface and the staff at the Deer Lodge Centre, especially Brian, Mandy and in particular, Charlotte, who guided us along the final route Dad took. And lastly, and most importantly, we extend our deepest appreciation to Virginia Stadnick, without whom we would never have been able to give Dad the care and love necessary to make his last several years easier. She has been our angel and we hope she continues to grace our lives in the future. There will be no visitation or service, according to our father's wishes. If donations are to be made, we ask they be sent to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Humane Society. GLEN LAWN FUNERAL HOME 982-7550
