RAYMOND ELVIN DYCK May 24, 1949 - July 4, 2010 Peacefully, with family at his side, Ray passed away at his residence after a courageous battle with cancer. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Eunice; daughters Stacy (Scott), Keri (Ryan); granddaughters Nya and Keana. Also left to cherish his memory are Sarah (mother), his sister Gerri (Elmer), brother Glen (Carman) and brother-in-law Lloyd; along with many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Elvin; parents-in-law Austin and Avis; sister-in-law Donna. Ray was born in Winkler, raised and educated in Morden, where he met Eunice Mack of Oberon, MB. They married in 1975, raising their family in Gillam and Gunton, MB. Ray worked for Manitoba Hydro for 35 years, retiring December of 2007. With family and career his priorities, Ray's kind gentle nature was apparent throughout his life's journey. Loving to work with wood, his parting gift to his babies was two beautiful rocking horses. In his younger years, he loved to hunt and fish with Dad, Glen, U. Walter, Tim; friends Terry, Ken and Andy. In later years Ray and Terry spent many hours metal detecting, searching for that rare coin. He loved music, playing his guitar, reading and most of all helping and being with his family. Ray was forever grateful for his girls and the kind, gentle care he received. Thank you to his angels Annette, Carol, Karin and Sharon from the Teulon Home Care Office. Brenda and Shayne, thank you for your understanding. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Teulon Rockwood Centennial Centre, 14 Main St., Teulon, MB.
