WILLIAM FULTON William (Bill) Fulton passed away July 13, 2010 in Kelowna, BC at the age of 87 years. He is survived by his loving wife Maisie of 64 years and two sons, Bill of Winnipeg, Thomas and daughter-in-law Donna of Kelowna and grandchildren Bryce, Adam and Alison. Bill was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland and after meeting Maisie they travelled the world looking for a new home and opportunities for their family. First Australia, then back to Ireland before travelling to Canada in the late 1950s. Maisie and the boys arrived three months later to start their new life in Manitoba. Bill was very active in the Winnipeg Irish Association and among other executive positions was their President. He was also a Freemason with the Grand Lodge of Manitoba. Bill and Maisie had many fond memories of summers spent at the cottage Bill and his sons built near Lac du Bonnet. Bill worked for more than three decades as a civilian master machinist for the Canadian Department of National Defence in Winnipeg, retiring in the late 1980s. Looking for warmer climes and retirement living, Bill and Maisie followed Thomas and Donna to Victoria in 1990 and then to Kelowna in 2004. In his retirement, Bill enjoyed spending time in his workshop creating outstanding intarsia artwork, many of which will continue to grace our walls. Bill's legacy will be his commitment and love for his family. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
