TILLIE IRENE OBACH (nee BONKOWSKI) January 3, 1919 - July 23, 2010 Peacefully, with her daughter Alexandra and grandson Brett by her side Tillie passed away at the Kildonan Personal Care Centre on July 23, 2010. Tillie is survived by her daughter Alexandra (Jim); grandson Brett (Tina); great-grandsons Theo and Alek. She was predeceased by her husband Harry of 65 years in 2003; her sons Alexander and Lawrence; parents Thomas and Annie; brothers Frank, Walter, and Carl; sisters Mary Obiedzinski and Helen Sutyla. Tillie was the last sibling of the Thomas and Annie Bonkowski family. She will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Tillie was educated in Tarno school at Ledwyn, Manitoba. She was married to the love of her life Harry in 1938, then eventually moved to Winnipeg. She was a very special lady who enjoyed life, cooking, gardening, writing poetry, keeping a daily diary, and playing the mouth organ. The coffee pot was always on for family and friends. We would like to thank the wonderful staff for the loving care Momma received during the time she spent at Kildonan Personal Care Home. Vichnya Pamyat A memorial service will be held on Wednesday July 28, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. with a reception to follow.
