STEWART EARL JONES July 16, 1928 - July 23, 2010 Peacefully in his sleep, Stewart Earl Jones passed away on Friday, July 23, 2010. Earl will be deeply missed by his wife of 56 years, Primrose, his sons, Jim (wife Kristine) and Tim (wife Maria and grandsons, Raidan and Brandon) and daughter, Loreen Patterson (husband Robert and granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Jennalee). He will also be remembered by his brother, Bob (wife Carole) and sisters, Verna Watson and Barbara Fay, and brothers-in-law, Lawrie Sinnema (wife Shirley) and Don Sinnema (wife Barbara) and special cousin, Kathleen Weaver. He had a long lasting friendship with Ken and Joan Craig, and Paul and Kathy Baryla (formerly Burnell). As well, there are numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends who will miss his presence. He was predeceased by his parents (Stewart and Edith Jones), in-laws (Lawrence and Myrtle Sinnema), nephew (Larry Sinnema), niece (Kim Kerslake and her husband Ron), and grandchildren (Melissa and Jacob Jones). At the young age of 19, Earl developed an interest in the printing trade, starting his career at Reid Eibner, and working at various printers as well as a home-based printing business named P. E. Printers which he ran for 40 years. He had a passion for bowling which he participated in for over 50 years including acting as president of the Twilight Bowling League for a number of years. He also enjoyed watching bowling tournaments, pool tournaments, curling and football on T.V. As well, he owned a pool table and would spend many hours using it. Earl had an interest in genealogy which he shared with his nephew, Daniel Watson. Together, they created several family tree albums. As well, he always enjoyed socializing with family and friends, and was appreciative of the good times and laughs that he shared with them. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3L 0K6 or a charity of choice.
